The hook-rail construction allows you to adjust the height of the bed. The higher setting is for use without a box spring, or to make room for an optional trundle. The lower setting is ideal for use with a box spring, or for young kids just learning to sleep in a big-kid bed. The slat-roll foundation replaces the need for a box spring. Our Sun Valley finish adds the rich, weathered patina of age. Developed exclusively for us by a master craftsman, this multi-step process accentuates the distressing in the wood. A final, two-layer lacquer protects this finish from daily wear and tear. All finishes in a color story coordinate with each other.
