The amazingly realistic looking blades have an interwoven filament or thatch layer of texturized high bulk nylon that supports the blades and keeps them standing erect. ProLawn Fescue looks like real freshly mowed fescue lawn 24/365. No mowing, trimming, fertilizing or watering, ever! Fescue turf is UV stabilized and looks great for years. The backing is coated with polypropylene to add resilience and extra life. Infill (sand or tire particulate) is optional (1/2" - 1"), but adds blade support, softness and extended life.
